More than 35 years ago, Enterprise Bank was founded as an entrepreneurial bank with a mission to make a difference. Today, it remains steadfast in its commitment to the values it was built upon: Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Professionalism and Community.

“We are a true community bank, leading with a deep sense of mission and purpose, dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those we so passionately serve,” said Alison Burns, Enterprise Bank’s senior vice president of community relations and customer experience director.

This dedication to the community has consistently earned Enterprise Bank recognition as one of the top companies in Massachusetts in terms of volunteerism and philanthropy.

Headquartered in Lowell with locations in the Essex County communities of Andover, Lawrence, Methuen and North Andover, Enterprise Bank stands out among its peers, not only as a bank, but as a business devoted to philanthropy: from products and services designed specifically to support the capacity of nonprofit organizations to the various charitable commitments the bank makes year after year.

In 2023, Enterprise Bank supported more than 450 nonprofit organizations throughout the state. It has been recognized as one of Massachusetts’ largest corporate donors and was ranked #2 for the highest average number of community involvement hours in 2023 by the Boston Business Journal, a year in which more than 185 Enterprise Bank team members served on more than 285 nonprofit boards and committees.

In 2008, Enterprise Bank established the Non-Profit Collaborative and Business Leadership Forum to provide critically needed programs, resources and guidance – such as educational seminars, networking events, relationship-building opportunities and board and volunteer support – to nonprofits and businesses within its footprint.

In Essex County, Enterprise Bank team members regularly collaborate with local elementary schools, high schools and businesses to offer training in financial literacy, banking, and security best practices. In addition, the bank has been a partner to ECCF for the past 10 years, supporting the foundation’s work to strengthen the communities of Essex County.

“Enterprise Bank shares ECCF’s mission of acting as a force for positive change and creating vibrant, prosperous communities,” said Burns. “We are honored to stand alongside the foundation in service of our shared communities, working together to make them better places to live and work.”

Enterprise Bank’s vision has always been, and will always be, to strengthen the economic fabric of the communities they serve through a commitment to customer success, product innovation and community service.
