apply for a grant

grant application process

All competitive grant applications are accepted online through our grant application portal. The online system helps agencies streamline their application process and will enable you to:

  • Upload files
  • Share drafts with others inside your organization
  • Log on/off at your convenience until ready to submit
  • Receive immediate confirmation that your application is complete
  • Keep track of your application history

These instructions are also available as Application process PDF or as a Video Tutorial.

See more instructions below.
To Apply for an ECCF Grant

Step 1:  Review grant guidelines before applying
Please read over the specific guidelines for the grant program you are applying to for information on eligibility and grant deadlines. In each grant section you can also view a list of recent grants awarded from that fund. See Grants.

Step 2: Create an account
All organizations must register before beginning the grant process. To register, go to the Application Portal and select an email login and password for your organization to be used with all grant submissions. ECCF will send all communications about grant applications to this email address.

Step 3: Complete the online application
The online application process allows the grant writer to save drafts of the application until it is ready to submit. Documents may be uploaded directly from your server. The application provides a link to ECCF’s Project Budget Template. Please download the budget document, complete it and save it to your server before uploading it to the application.

Grant Decisions and Follow-Up

Grant submission and review
You will receive notification once your application is received in the system.  If something is missing or there are questions on your application, you will be notified via email. Most ECCF grant committees conduct site visits as part of the review process.  You will be contacted directly by the reviewer to schedule a visit.

Final grant decisions
All grant applicants are notified via email about grant decisions. Those receiving awards will be asked to complete a Grant Acknowledgement and Acceptance of Terms and to publicize the grant.

Reporting
All ECCF grantees are required to submit a final report on the impacts of their grant. The due date is included in your award letter. You will receive an email reminder of the final report deadline two weeks prior to the due date and instructions on submitting the report through the online system.
