The Chet & Will Griswold Suicide Prevention Fund

There are two primary goals of the Fund. The first is to identify programs that prevent suicide. The Fund will identify and support programs that provide resources such as counseling for individuals who are at risk and for families who are coping with the danger or results of this act. The Fund will also support research into the causes of suicide. Some of the possible catalysts needing more investigation include depression, peer pressure, temporary despondency, and drug use both illicit and legal. As an example, we want to see more investigation into the possibility that anti-depressants are catalysts for suicide in young adults.

The Chet and Will Griswold Suicide Prevention Fund is a fund at the Essex County Community Foundation. All donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions regarding your online donation, please contact us directly at (978) 777-8876 or email Michelle Pelletier at m.pelletier@eccf.org. Thank you!
