Stephen T. Vesey, CPA, CVA, Vesey & Company, PC is a graduate of Salem State College where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  He is the owner of Vesey & Company, PC Certified Public Accountants & Advisors to Business.  In practice for 30 years, he was awarded the US Small Business Administration Accountant Advocate for Massachusetts in 1985.  Besides focusing on personal and corporate tax planning, Steve is the practice’s Business Valuation and Exit Strategies specialist.  He is also an expert witness. Steve enjoys his involvement with numerous charitable organizations and nonprofits while sitting on multiple boards of directors. 

 

Susan Weeks, CPA, CVA, CGFM, Vesey & Company, PC is a graduate of Merrimack College where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Accounting and Finance.  Susan has more than ten years of accounting, auditing and tax experience.  She is an alumnus of Deloitte where she spent 7 years in the audit department while obtaining her designation as a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Financial Manager.  Susan is currently employed by Vesey & Company, PC Certified Public Accountants & Advisors to Business where she obtained her designation as a Certified Valuation Analyst.

 

Liz Silva, Founder of Hamilton Bookkeeping, LLC combined her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with over 20 years of bookkeeping experience to establish Hamilton Bookkeeping in 2004. Liz's background includes corporate controller, business manager, and office manager for small and medium sized businesses. Currently managing a staff of 8, Liz is sensitive to the needs and challenges of today’s small business owner such as cash flow, budgets, employees, and internal controls. Hamilton Bookkeeping's unique 2-step process provides QuickBooks® setups, bookkeeping cleanups and maintenance.  Liz is a Certified QuickBooks® Pro Advisor, and a member of the American Association of Professional Bookkeepers. She is active in the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, Beverly BNI, Peabody Chamber of Commerce, North Shore Women in Business, and the North Shore Business Forum. 

Dave Welbourn, President and CEO, ECCF, has focused his career on developing resources for the growth of nonprofit institutions.  He joined ECCF in the Spring of 2008 after long service as Senior Vice President at the Lahey Clinic, and was previously in senior leadership at the University of Vermont and Tufts.  He teaches philanthropy and strategic planning as a consultant and volunteer for a variety of organizations, which is how he became engaged with ECCF. 

Who should attend:  The workshop is targeted to all nonprofit organization executives.

Workshop location:   Topsfield Town Library, One South Common Street, Topsfield, MA

Directions:  Travel to Route 128/95 North. Route 95 North splits from 128 in the Lynnfield area. Take 95 North to the exit for Topsfield/Route 1 North. Travel on Route 1 North for approximately 2 miles, with the Topsfield Fairgrounds on right. Come to a stoplight after fairgrounds at the intersection of Route 97 and Route 1. Take a left onto Route 97 North. Travel to first stop sign and take a left and an immediate left after small green.

Parking:  Parking at the Library is available on South Common Street and along Main Street after the Proctor School.
