In January 2012, with support from EBSCO Publishing and in partnership with Associated Grant Makers, ECCF opened the EBSCO Publishing Grant Resource Center (GRC) at ECCF. One of four in the state, the GRC provides free access to the Foundation Directory and the AGM Directory for nonprofits interested in conducting research on funding sources. GRC users are assisted by trained ECCF staff who can also council them on other issues and direct them to services and training opportunities. The two databases available at the Center are:
AGM’s Grant Makers Directory - consists of in-depth data on hundreds of funders granting in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Visitors can search by five types of indices to help narrow their search.
- The Foundation Directory Online and new Power Tool - an international database allowing you to search over 100,000 foundations, corporate donors and grantmaking public charities. The database is powerful, user friendly and has 54 search fields, including the capability to use keywords to search for types of programs funded. It also includes listings of over 2.4 million recent grants, over half a million trustees, officers and donors, over 700,000 IRS 990s and more.
The GRC is located at ECCF's office in Danvers, MA and is available by appointment only Monday through Friday (except holidays) 10am - 5pm.
The GRC is available free of charge for nonprofit staff, grant writers, fundholders, foundation staff and development consultants. It is not available for researching grants for individuals or for-profit businesses.
