Grantmaking Process
The Women's Fund Advisory Board will select one Field of Funding Interest per year and proactively identify a pool of agencies to be considered for funding. No RFPs (request for proposals) will be distributed and no proposals accepted. Agencies are encouraged to complete a Women’s Fund 2007 Nonprofit Organization Questionnaire.  All Questionnaires are due to ECCF by November 1, 2006 and must be submitted electronically.
Annually, (by April 1) the Women's Fund will make grants with a 1-3 year commitment to agencies within that year's Field of Funding Interest. Grants will be awarded up to $15,000.
All multi-year grants will be contingent on satisfactory completion of the program or associated progress. Agencies with multi-year grants will be required to submit an interim report eleven months (by March 1st) after receiving their initial grant and each twelve months thereafter for the term of the grant. Final reports for one-year grants must be submitted within thirteen months of receipt of funds.
The Women's Fund is administered by the Essex County Community Foundation. Decisions are made by the Women's Fund Grants Allocations committee, approved by the Women's Fund Advisory Board and ultimately by the Essex County Community Foundation's Board of Trustees.
