Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence To hire 16 counselors for 500 youngsters to enjoy a safe and fun-filled summer at the Club. $10,000
Brooks School To develop campers both physically and socially while they enjoy a variety of recreational and creative experiences. $3,500

Esperanza Academy, Inc. To fund staff salaries, camperships, tuitions, transportation and materials costs to enable a three-week summer program for all 80 students. $7,000
Essex Art Center To provide art classes at a less than market cost to the student. Funds will help pay for materials and teachers salaries. $7,000
Family Service, Inc. For Project Venture Summer Adventure Days, including day trips, bike rides and overnight adventure camps. $5,500
Greater Lawrence Community Action Council To provide children ages 5-15 activities that promote preservation of the family unit in a society where drugs and violence are a part of everyday life. $6,500

Lawrence Public School, Summer Meals Program To provide salaries for two bus drivers to deliver well balanced, nutritious meals to community agencies throughout the City of Lawrence. $3,500
Lawrence Recreation Department To provide recreation to the city's youth during their summer school vacation. $5,000
Let's Get ready To provide a college prep program for at least 45 low-income and under-represented high school students. $3,500

Merrimack Valley Community Service Corps An intensive eight-week service-learning project that will connect local youth and senior volunteers to address important community needs. $4,000
Merrimack Valley YMCA - Lawrence Branch To provide educational and recreational programs that combine reading, writing, and math skills with sports activities, crafts, field trips and swim lessons. $7,500
Merrimack Valley YMCA - Methuen Branch A combined schedule of both educational and recreational activities for children. $5,500
Merrimack Valley YMCA-Administrative Offices To allow 12 Greater Lawrence youth to attend Day Camp Otter over the course two week long sessions. $3,500
Methuen Arlington Neighborhood inc To assist in implementing youth programming such as crafts, sports, field trips and camp activites. $6,500
North Andover Historical Society To provide a safe and stimulating environment for children interested in exploring the rich cultural heritage of Essex County, with emphasis on the Greater Lawrence area. $1,000
North Shore Youth Symphony Orchestra, Inc. To provide Lawrence violin students with opportunities to continue their study over the summer. $6,500
Northeast Independent Living Program Inc. To offer community based, experiential education field trips, youth peer support groups, and technology skill development that engages youth with disabilities to work with adult peers with disabilities in real-world situations. $3,500
Northern Essex Community College To support scholarship funds for financially disadvantaged students, ages 10-13, to attend College for Kids, a summer enrichment program. $13,000
Notre Dame High School To prepare approximately 283 youth age 14-18 who have limited access to professional employment opportunities for the work environment. $5,000
Phillips Academy ABL To enhance student writing skills and literacy and to improve the teaching of writing in urban public schools. $3,000
Phillips Academy PALS For academic enrichment, study skills, career exploration, and guidance in high school choices to 7th and 8th grade students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. $5,000
Pingree School- Prep@Pingree To provide an academic enrichment program for thirty-five public school students from Lawrence who have successfully completed the seventh grade. $5,500
Si, Se, Puede, Inc. To provide educational and recreational opportunities to low-income, urban youth. $4,000
St. Ann's Home and School To support the summer camp for students who live full time at St. Ann's. $5,000
Windrush Farm Therapeutic Equitation, Inc. To support the horseback riding camp for dis-advantaged, inner city kids. $3,500
Youth Development Organization, Inc. To provide city-wide enrichment programs for Lawrence students and to offset necessary transportation expenses and camp registration and tuition costs. $7,500
YWCA of Greater Lawrence To serve educationally and economically disadvantaged, inner-city, minority children between the ages of 6-13 and a leadership program for 14-15 year olds. $5,000
