Essex County Community Foundation’s funds under management are the backbone of what we do. To date our funds have distributed over $10.5 million to nonprofits predominantly in Essex County. Most of these funds have been set up with a specific plan of giving in mind while others are open to receiving grant proposals. Nathaniel Bowditch Fund - To support the Bowditch Institute Project, a civic, cultural and educational collaborative dedicated to fostering a lasting legacy of Nathanial Bowditch.
Build A Bridge Scholarship Fund - To fund college scholarships for ex-offenders from the Essex County Correctional Facilities.
CCS Fund - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors.

Youth at Risk Fund - To support the YAR Initiative, a collaborative network of Essex County agencies serving at-risk youth and their families which enable services for children to be delivered in a collaborative and comprehensive manner thereby creating continuity of care and maximizing resources.
