ECCF Funds

Essex County Community Foundation’s funds under management are the backbone of what we do. To date, ECCF funds distributed over $15 million in grants to nonprofits in Essex County and beyond. Most funds have been created with a specific giving plan in mind, while others are open to receiving grant proposals. To learn about our competitive granting programs, please see Grants.

• ACAC Fund - To support organizations of interest to the donor's children.
• Alacoque-Weber Trust Fund for Catholic Education - To support the Sacred Heart School Religious Education Program in Lynn, Massachusetts.
• The ALMA Fund - To help revitalize the Arlington District of Lawrence through support of various relevant charitable and educational organizations.
• Barbara H. Almy Fund - To support organizations of interest to the donor’s children.
• Andover Coalition for Education Fund - To support enhancement of education in Andover public schools.
• The Andover Group Fund - To support the interest of the donor.
• Andover High School Community Health Fund - To support Andover public school students and their families who are dealing with a serious pediatric illness or disabling health condition.
• Tia D. Andrew Fund - To support the philanthropic interests of the family. 
• ASD Fund - To support education, environment, land conservation and cancer research.
• Astle-Tory Broadhow Fund - To assist small grassroots nonprofits with the support and training services they need to address specific needs.
• Ayer Mill Clock Tower Fund - To cover the costs associated with operating and maintaining the Ayer Mill Clock Tower in Lawrence.
• Grace K. Babson Trust Fund - To support the VNA Care Network’s Gloucester office at 8 Angle Street.
• The BEYOND Scholarship Fund - To provide scholarships for Lawrence students to attend a tuition based high school.
• Donald and Susan Booth Charitable Fund - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors.
• Bowditch Fund - To support the Bowditch Institute Project, a civic, cultural and educational collaborative dedicated to fostering a lasting legacy of Nathanial Bowditch.
• The Boxford Town Library Fund - To support the capital needs of the construction, maintenance and upkeep of the Boxford Town Library buildings, property and services.
• Build A Bridge Scholarship Fund - To fund college scholarships for ex-offenders from the Essex County Correctional Facilities.
• CCS Fund - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors.
• Charity Girls NEMA - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors. 
• Cloven Rock Fund - To support the charitable interests of the donor.
• Franz & Anne Colloredo-Mansfeld Fund - To support educational and environmental organizations of interest to the donors.
• Peggy Corbett Memorial Fund - To support Merrimack Valley math and science teachers in grades 6-12 who use innovative ways to engage their students in scientific endeavors.
• Amanda P. Craig Fund - To provide an annual grant to Camp Huckins to fund 4 camper-ships for girls who would otherwise be unable to attend.
• Custom House Maritime Museum Endowment Fund- To support the operations of the Custom House Maritime Museum in Newburyport.
• Davis Trust Fund - To support the VNA Care Network.
• David & Mary R. Dearborn Fund - To support organizations of interest to the donors.

• Joseph R. and Margaret M. Doherty Memorial Fund- To learn about regional philanthropy while continuing to support current charitable relationships.
• William P. & Elizabeth S. Dolliver Trust Fund - To assist poor and deserving residents of Gloucester.
• ESMV Board Designated Fund - To support general operations of Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley.
• Emergency Fund - To assist nonprofits with a short-term urgent funding need created by an unforeseen event(s) that has or will significantly interrupt essential services.
• Michael Erekson Memorial Scholarship - To provide scholarships for students from Danvers, including graduating seniors and returning adult students, with a preference for those studying technical trades and media arts.
• Essex County Forum Fund - To support the promotion of smart growth planning for Essex County.
• Essex County Hunger Relief Project - To help Essex County food pantries and soup kitchens meet the rising demand for services. 
• Essex Fund- To support the expansion of philanthropy in Essex County.
• Anita Pacione Evetts Shine On Scholarship Fund- To support scholarships for graduating Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School seniors for college or other learning experiences.
• F1rst Jobs Fund - To provide summer employment for North Shore teens ages 14 to 19.
• Arthur L. Flynn Education Trust Fund - To provide college scholarships to graduating Salem public school students.
• Friends of Andover Tennis Fund - To help fund the renovation of Andover High School's tennis courts and continued maintenance of courts and support of the AHS tennis team. 
• Friends of Anne Bradstreet - To support activities that further the appreciation and understanding of the words and work of Anne Dudley Bradstreet (1612 - 1672).
• Fund for Lawrence Public Schools Receivership and Turnaround Plan -To support charitable or educational projects as part of the Lawrence Receivership efforts to revitalize Lawrence Public Schools.
• Fund for the Republic - To support the activities of Fund for the Republic which seeks to strengthen the fight for money-in-politics reform.
• Gates-Robertson Fund - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors.
• Henry Giannantonio Trust Fund - To support the Holy Rosary Church of Lawrence.
• Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center Fund - An agency endowment to support the future of the Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center.
• Greater Lawrence Summer Fund - To support summer youth programs in the Greater Lawrence communities of Lawrence, Methuen, Andover and North Andover.
• Grimaldi Fund - To support education, youth and community programs.
• Chet and Will Griswold Suicide Prevention Fund - To support programs and research related to suicide prevention.
• Hardscrabble Education Fund - To support and promote academic achievement in English, math and science in the public school systems of Beverly, Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott.
• Help in the Nick of Time Fund - To assist local charities with short-term financial and volunteer assistance in order to help families with specific needs.
• Stephanie Hobson Memorial Fund - To support organizations in Stephanie's memory.
• Margaret Voss Howard Teacher Recognition Award Fund - To recognize the work of teachers from Marblehead and Salem public school districts.
• JCH Fund - To continue philanthropic giving into the next generation of a family of donors.
• Corinne (Morris) Johnson Scholarship Fund - To provide college scholarships for graduating Massachusetts high school seniors who have lost a parent.
• The JT ECCF Fund - To support programs of interest to the donors.
• Patricia Foley Karl (PFK) Scholarship Fund - To provide scholarships for students graduating from the eighth grade of the Lawrence Family Development Charter School, to help them attend a private or parochial secondary school college preparatory program.
• Teresa Hopper LaChance Scholarship Fund - To provide college scholarships to graduating seniors of Georgetown High School in Georgetown, Massachusetts.
• The Music Fund - A discretionary Field of Interest fund to to support youth musical organizations.
• Michael J. Latta EMS Scholarship Fund - To provide monetary support for those wishing to become an EMT or paramedic.
• Lawrence Emergency Fund - To support emergency needs of individual Lawrence residents or families harmed by an emergency event. Read a 2009 article in the Eagle Tribune announcing the Lawrence Emergency Fund.
• Lawrence Development Fund  - To aid the growth and development of downtown Lawrence through art appreciation, beautification and community assistance.
• Lawrence High School Alumni Association - To provide scholarships for students in Lawrence High School for educational purposes.
• Nicole Lemieux Knight Scholarship Fund - To provide college scholarships to graduating seniors of Newburyport High School.
• Albert Lunt Trust for Charity Fund - To support three nonprofit organizations designated by the donor.
• MADLMU Fund - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors.
• Raymond Banigan Malm Foundation Fund - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors.
• Isabella Rose Marino Endowment Fund - To support organizations in Isabella's memory.

• George McQuinn Memorial Foundation - To provide college scholarships to graduating seniors of Burlington High School.

• Merrimack Valley General Fund- To support nonprofit organizations that provide arts and culture, education, social and community services and youth services in eastern Merrimack Valley communities.
• Myopia Hunt Club Caddie Scholarship Fund - To provide scholarships for eligible Myopia Hunt Club caddies.
• National Lancers' Guard Anniversary Fund - To raise awareness of key events in the history of the Massachusetts and US National Guard. 
• Niben Point Fund - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors.
• North Shore Community Health Network Fund - To support community health initiatives.
• North Shore Technology Council Scholarship Fund - To award scholarships to selected individuals.
• Eamon O'Holleran Fund - To support hospitals and nonprofit organizations helping families who experience expected and unexpected loss of a newborn, and families who care for children born with expected and unexpected health challenges.
• John W. Peirce Fund - To support the Essex County Greenbelt Association and the Ipswich River Watershed Association.
• Dr. Thomas N. Pesola Memorial Scholarship Fund - To award scholarship money to Massachusetts residents seeking further education, attending diabetes related education workshops or camps, and/or completing diabetes research fellowships.
• Play It Forward Giving Circle - To raise and distribute funds to organizations that provide opportunities and promote solutions for teachers and young children in Essex County.
• Christine C Price Breast Cancer Fund - To support organizations in Christine's memory.
• Rawlins Family Fund - To support organizations in the interest of the advisors.
• Susan Kain Reeder Memorial Fund - To support organizations in honor of Susan Kain Reeder. 
• Rolling Ridge Retreat and Conference Center Fund - An Endowment Fund to support the operation of the Center.
• Sherry and Will Rogers Family Fund - To continue support of the donors' current charitable interests, as well as to support various charities and needs in and around Essex County.
• Rosman Family Fund - To provide grants to organizations in Greater Lawrence with particular focus on arts and culture, innovative library services and public health.

• Webster Family Fund - To support 11 designated agencies, the Greater Lawrence Summer Fund and capital projects in Greater Lawrence.
• Hal Wennik Fellowship Scholarship Fund - To provide college scholarships to graduating seniors of Andover High School who have contributed to their school and community through participation in competitive athletics.
• Karen A. Wenzel Foundation for MDS and Cancer Awareness - To support the MDS Foundation.
• White Fund - To provide support to agencies recommended by the donor.
• Richard D Wilson Community Response Gift Fund - To support charitable organizations of interest to the donors.
• Stirling A. Winder Fund - To support Osteosarcoma research.
• The Women's Fund of Essex County - To provide opportunities to and promote solutions for women and girls in Essex County.
